Nudes torn from the pages of Chinese magazines are combined with vegetables in this series of studio photographs. The women’s limbs seem to extend beyond the frame, both completing their bodies and disrupting its form. While the work plays with the humour of anthropomorphism, as reflected in the word play of the title, its critical undertones address what is commonly accepted as natural and beautiful, and hints towards the limited shelf life that both these “consumables” have.
